Bowflex is best known for its exercise machines that use a very different approach than the traditional weight and pulley concept.
Instead, polymer rods are used to create resistance, much like the effort it takes to use a bow and arrow.
Rods with different resistance can be combined for many combinations of resistance.
A more recent development has been the use of resistance bands instead of the polymer rods. Bowflex also sells a line of hybrid treadmills, which offer 2 walking surfaces and much higher incline.
Bowflex is part of the Nautilus group of companies.
